Harriet is a qualified solicitor who principally specialises in the areas of data protection and employment.

Harriet frequently works on global data protection compliance projects for Lewis Mathys Emmerson’s corporate clients, many of which are publicly traded companies listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. Her practice spans the fields of data protection and privacy, cybersecurity, online safety, whistleblowing and employee data, and she regularly advises multinational companies on implementing complex global projects which straddle these intersecting fields.

Having trained at a top-tier New Zealand firm, Harriet has extensive contentious and non-contentious experience advising on day-to-day employment matters. Her employment practice has covered corporate due diligence, health and safety, redundancies and restructures, disciplinary investigations, contract and policy reviews, mediations and exit negotiations.

Before joining LME, Harriet worked for Slaughter and May in London.

Harriet was admitted in New Zealand and is a registered foreign qualified lawyer with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (UK).
