Lewis Mathys Emmerson was established in 2015 by Managing Partner Steve Lewis.

Known and respected for its emphasis on client care and long-standing relationships, the firm takes time to understand its clients’ needs and delivers innovative and practical advice. The firm’s five Partners are all experts in their chosen fields who advise our international clients on high-value transactions and complex regulatory and employment issues.

Clients

Our client base is international and includes some of the world’s largest and most well-known international companies from a range of industries.  They include airlines, heavy industry and manufacturing, energy and infrastructure, fashion, digital entertainment and videogames, finance, hospitality, food production, telecommunications, healthcare and pharmaceuticals.

A large number of our clients are public companies listed on the London Stock Exchange and the Tokyo Stock Exchange.

Our Partners have each spent many years working with leading international law firms around the globe.

Steve Lewis (Managing Partner) previously founded Herbert Smith Freehills Tokyo office which he managed for over 10 years, where he worked with Nick Mathys (Head of Data Regulation) and Nick Emmerson (Head of Capital Markets). The Firm’s other Partners, Oliver Neil and Nicholas Mitchell have also spent many years working with well-known international law firms.
