Fluent in Japanese, Sophie obtained a First in her Japanese Studies degree at Oxford Brookes University (with a year at Aoyama Gakuin, Tokyo), before moving back to Tokyo to teach English for several years.

On her return to the UK, she undertook the Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP University and joined a Legal 500 firm as a Paralegal specialising in construction and engineering law with her own caseload.

Sophie is now a Trainee Solicitor for Lewis Mathys Emmerson LLP and is also currently studying the Legal Practice Course.
